Swim Lessons

Starting June 18th Ella started her first swim lessons. I was sure that we would get there and she would decide that she didn't want to do it but she proved me wrong. She walked right over to her teacher, got in the pool and did great! We did it for 2 weeks and by the end we were both so tired that we were glad it was  over. She passed the level she was in which was pretty exciting and came away with quite the tan! At the pool where the lessons were there was a kiddie pool which anyone could swim in before, during and after swim lessons...Avery loved it. If I wasn't watching her close enough she would walk herself right over and get in the pool. I have 2 children who have no fear of water : / The last picture of the slide was taken with my phone so the quality isn't that great but the slide with the bigger drop-off is the one Ella went down before I could even get in the water to catch her. It is 10 ft deep and about 6 ft from the wall but she did it all by herself! I was one proud momma!

Visitors

Wayne's parents and brother stopped by our house for a visit a couple weeks ago and it was really fun to see them.  They were able to see Ella do her first swim lesson and we took them to the train museum by our house.  They were a little surprised by the 100 degree weather but it was very nice to have some visitors.  Thanks for stopping by!

We also did a little early birthday celebration for Avery while they were here.  She was very happy to get her new drum..so was Ella.

Fun At The Park

We took the girls to a park down the road from where we live on a Sunday afternoon and besides the heat we all had a good time.  Avery is learning to do the slide and Ella wished she could do the monkey bars but she doesn't quite have the arm strength yet.  The picture of Ella with her tongue out is for Grandma Shanny because it will drive her crazy with her hair in front of her face :) Love ya Mom!

Oregon

In May the girls and I made a trip to Oregon and Boise to visit family.  We had so much fun and it felt like it went too fast.  I helped my parents re-do one of the bathrooms in their house and it was a big project but it turned out beautiful.  All I have to say is that I hate taking down wallpaper!!  Ella had  a great time with her cousins and Avery had fun sitting in her highchair feeding the dogs cheerios.  We were able to see Madison do her dance recital and she was the one all the girls looked to see what came next .. she was great.  It was such a fun trip and we were so glad to be able to go.  Enjoy the pictures.
